Map of Denver, CO – 7th Avenue Historical District, Homes for Sale (Built prior to 1940)
When I first came to Denver from Atlanta in 1996, I asked where the areas with magnificent homes were, like in Buckhead, Tuxedo Road in Atlanta. The first name that invariably came up was “7th Ave.” Well, one weekend we piled the kids in the car and drove over to see that area and I was not disappointed. It was a memorable drive from Colorado to Logan on 7th Ave looking at these homes and driving up and down 6th and 8th Avenues and the cross streets as well. Many of Denver’s most influential citizens built homes in this area from just before the turn of the century to into the 1930s. The search below will show you the historical district ‘Treasures’ available at the moment!
Note: The absolute purist will only consider homes ON the parkway as real 7th Ave historic district homes, but I think the entire area is historically important and very desirable. As they say, “your mileage may vary.”
